(Trained at the University of Illinois). 

 

Skills: Standard calibrations, semi-quantitative point and mapping analysis.

3. Multi-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS) (Nu Plasma)

(Trained at the University of Illinois). 

 

Skills: Tuning, high-precision non-traditional stable isotope analysis (e.g., Fe isotope).

4. Linkam THMS 600 Heating-cooling stage

(Trained at the University of Toronto). 

 

Skills: Synthetic fluid inclusion standard calibration, homogenization and ice-melting temperature measurement.

5. Laser ablation-ICP-MS (NWR 193 UC laser ablation system, Agilent 7900 quadrupole mass spectrometer)

(Used at the University of Toronto). 

 

Skills: Calibration, point analysis.

Skills: Fluid inclusion composition analysis.
